Humans are sometimes afflicted with diseases during their lifetime. Some of these diseases are self-inlficted while othres occur as a result of infectious organisms. Sedentary lifestyles involve physical incativity resulting in disease. These self inflicted diseases are caused by sedentary lifestyle. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), 2 of every 3 recorded deaths are due to diseases arising from sedentary lifestyles. Health problems arising from sedentary lifestyle are due to accumulation of cholesterol on the human body. Cholesterol is a blood fat needed in moderate amounts. However, high cholesterol level in the body could lead to coronary artery diseases. The Nigerian populace are not exempted from these health challenges which invariably hamper their productivity, and life-span. Most individual and their families are unaware of the immense benefit of physical fitness exercises and such do not engage in it. Such persons are prone to sedentary lifestyle diseases. Regular and active physical fitness exercise is both used for preventing and curing of sedentary lifestyle diseases.
